Yeah that’s right, it’s Saturday again, your favorite day of the week! I’m currently on the road traveling the American West slangin' coffee and climbing rocks so I’ve passed this week over to Amy Burke who’s the Alpine Start creative queen - and just so happens to be my big sister! Enjoy.

Hey! Amy here, dropping in on this lovely Saturday with some deep thoughts and good vibes… hahaha, not that deep but really just some fun stuff that caught my eye this week. 

Since a lot of what I do is on/for instagram, the app takes up a ton of my time. One of my favorite accounts to get sucked into is from a sweet little shop in Atwater Village (Silverlake adjacent) not only do they carry a fantastic selection of lifestyle goods but their instagram stories for “Meme Monday” are tops! I find myself forwarding them on to everyone and love starting my week off with a giggle. Peep these this Monday, you won’t be sorry :)

This article has me all in my feelings. I feel so seen lol. But seriously, I love entertaining (and being entertained hahah) and the more casual usually = more fun IMO. But, being a creative mom living in Los Angeles, I must admit I have fallen victim to trying to keep up with the
Joneses from time to time and accessorizing my soirées al lá my favorite Pinterest/Instagram feeds. While I adore a beautiful charcuterie sometimes a bag of chips and a six-pack is just more fun! Long Live The House Party!

At the moment I am totally geeked on the Ghetto Gastro, a Bronx based collective that works at the intersection of Food, Design and Art. One of their co-founders, Jon Gray, has a TED talk that went live yesterday and I dig it! Peep it here or on their site as well as on their instagram where they do their own cooking show with East Coast dishes and flavors I miss so much.

Since we at Alpine Start are all about convenience I am always on the lookout to make my family's life a little easier but dare not sacrifice style. Lots of times that includes lunches to go in that good 'ol LA traffic. When I'm not toting around my Alpine Start Hydroflask I love to use theses babies by Porter. Convenience but make it fashion
