As a company founded by (mostly) white people, we realize that change needs to start at home.
Our business has roots in the outdoors. Exploring natural places enables everyone to see the world in a new way, but it is an experience that is also segregated to selected portions of our society.
Think about how ridiculous that is people!
The outdoors are literally the one thing everyone on the planet should have access to, AND IT'S FREE.
We decided to make better use of our platform to make a change in OUR community. Donating to #BLM causes is the first step. The next step is voting in national and local elections (pay attention to your District Attorney!). After that, take a look around at your own community and see where you can influence. It is unto us to become more aware and support causes that are giving access to BIPOC communities that need support.
