I started drinking coffee because of their Latte with Benefits, which included mushrooms. I haven’t been able to find that one since my first couple purchases. I do love the plain coffee and coconut creamer when it’s not out of stock (they really need to work on their supply chain), using about 1/5 to 1/4 a packet per cup with 1/2 water half almond or cashew milk, it makes just the sort of coffee ice cream level coffee I like. Delicious.
Let me start with that I absolutely love this coffee for quality, flavor and convenience. I also love the energy and philosophy of this company and that they are from Boulder, CO and showcase so much beauty in this state and around the world. This has always been "chic" instant coffee IMO. That being said, the latest batch of coffee has a completely different profile and flavor than I have ever experienced in the many years I have been ordering from them. The single packets are the same, but the bulk is completely different. It tastes like store bought instant coffee and not in a good way. I did more than one side by side visual, taste and smell test with the individual packets and bulk coffee. The bulk product is not the same quality that I have come to enjoy over the years. I will continue to buy the single packets because they serve my single life and traveling habits, but I cannot even choke down the bulk coffee. Still sending all my heart felt love for these guys and their enthusiasm and joy of life!
I saw a guy drinking this on YouTube and he said it good. I gave it a try and now I drink Alpine Start Original blend on the days I don’t have time or don’t want to brew a pot of coffee. Today I made 3 cups for myself.
